Shoe Collection
Fall/Winter 2012-13
When it comes to unparalleled creativity in the elite business of designer shoes, Nicholas Kirkwood reigns supreme. The British-based footwear designer taps into an orbit of architectural innovation for Fall/Winter 2012. He warms up the colder season with sumptuous materials such as suede, satin, crushed velvet, glossy patent leather, feathers and wool.
On the pattern front, Kirkwood serves up his signature wavy prints, paisley brocades and floral embroidered mesh. Cap-toes are given a glittery makeover, along with strappy sandals and the inner linings of elaborate structured bows. Teal and navy sueded heels are enlisted with feathered ankle trims and winged frills. Injecting some colour into the wintery range, Nicholas crafted pairs in aqua and electric blues, fuchsia, apricot and orchid.
Spike heel stilettos are appended to almond toe angled platforms, and furnished with gold hammered heels, scalloped edges and metallic leather trims. From $600 upwards, Nicholas Kirkwood heels are rapidly becoming a favourite of celebrities and their stylists. Most recently, he elevated the runway collections of fashion designers Peter Pilotto, Suno and Erdem. Here is a glimpse into his spectacular Fall/Winter 2012 range.
